I was just checking drudge and it looks like there is this new search engine from some ex-google people. Sounded interesting so I checked it out, however the sucker is running way too slow. I'm talking about 5 minutes or more to do a simple search. Going to the next page in your search takes about 30 seconds. And I'm using DSL. I also researched a pair of key words that I did an earlier search on, but it was no help.

They are either searching way too many pages for their engine to handle or they are getting too many hits. Reguardless, the site needs work if it is going to take people away from google.

EDIT: Just for fun, I searched "cuil sucks" in both google and cuil. Google returned 1,620 results in .01 seconds, cuil took several minutes to return 2 results. It claimed to have found 2,990 but it only showed two with no way to get to the rest of them.

Seems they need to work harder if they even want to get into the same ball park as Google
